Farmhouse Decor Must-Haves for Any Budget

I’ve been there—browsing the aisles of Hobby Lobby, picking up an item that is so freakin’ cute, only to put it back because you are second guessing how it will fit into your home. But, I have found that there are certain things that you can never have enough of. Things that fit in regardless of the changing seasons. And, ultimately, things that give you the most bang for your buck. Keep reading for my three farmhouse decor must-haves!

The first is greenery. I typically buy greenery as garland from Hobby Lobby (my favorites are the frosted eucalyptus and the jasmine leaf) because the long pieces can be draped as a whole, pulled apart and used as smaller filler, or even attached to a grapevine wreath for a DIY piece (shown below). Hobby Lobby’s garland also seems to be consistent, so I can always go back for more and count on finding one to match what I already have. Plus, they are 50% off, every other week!

Another thing that I decorate with in abundance is candles. I saved a portion of the flameless candles from our wedding, and now they are used year-round. Nothing beats the warm, cozy glow that they give our home. And, they are another versatile piece that goes a long way. If there is a corner in your home that feels bare, add a candle and a piece of greenery, and I think the difference will surprise you! I love these, also from Hobby Lobby, because they look super realistic, come in a variety of sizes, have a timer so I don’t have to worry about turning them on and off, and the batteries last for months.

Lastly, I always feel good about investing in a good statement container. (Usually something that can house a candle and/or greenery.) Lanterns, baskets, wooden boxes or bowls, crocks, and jars are all safe bets. My personal favorite piece is this chicken feeder that I found at a vintage market. I change out the contents for each season and it makes the perfect low centerpiece!

You can’t go wrong with any of these three things, because each can be worked into any room, added to the decor you already own, and changed with the seasons. So, you can feel good about spending money on versatile decor that stands out all year!
