MARANDA AND KYLE'S WEDDING AT THE FALLS IN COLUMBIA, IL | ST. LOUIS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I don’t even know where to start with this sweet couple. Not only did I have the pleasure of being Kyle and Maranda’s wedding photographer, but I also have the honor of calling them close friends. I met Kyle in high-school where we shared a few classes, and let’s just say I wouldn’t have made it through Advanced Chem without him. Plus, Kyle and my husband have a friendship that dates back even further, kindergarten to be exact. (Please, note the incredibly handsome best man, that’s my hubs) And, when our good friend introduced us to Maranda we loved her instantly. Her quiet kindness perfectly matches Kyle’s same demeanor.

The joy on everyone’s faces still gets me. Just look at these proud parents!

They held a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. John’s in Red Bud, IL. My favorite part was watching Kyle try to hold back the emotion from seeing Maranda walk down the aisle—that look really pulls at the heart.

The wedding party was a blast! Maranda and her family are from the Kentucky/West Virginia area, so many of the wedding party members started with first time introductions the night before, and still ended with tight goodbye hugs as they parted ways.

The reception was at The Falls Reception and Conference Center in Columbia, IL where everything was set in the couple’s soft color palette with simple elegance.

The sweet flower girl hung out with me taking pictures on the dance floor. She spent the evening pretending her toy was a camera, and it was THE CUTEST. Here she is capturing a moment.

The night ended with everyone in one big, swaying circle of loved ones belting “West Virginiaaa, mountain mommaaaa” at the top of their lungs. It doesn’t matter where you are from, when that song comes on, you sing it loud. ;)
